First Week of School is Behind Us

Mikey and I both survived the first week of school!  Mikey actually did more than survive... he thrived.  He had probably the best week of school of his life.  He just seems to be coming in to his own these last few weeks and its so exciting to watch.  I'm going to just bask in it and cherish every moment as with his personality, I'm sure it won't be long before his world is thrown off again as he tries to conquer his next hurdle. 

My week was crazy to say the least but I'm happy to be back and to see all of my students again.  I'm excited at what this  year will bring.  I'm also working very hard to get everything that we are doing in writing so that things run more smoothly on every level.  I put in place a new staffing system and it seems to be working great.  Time will tell how it goes as I begin to introduce all aspects of our program.

Other than that, we are just plugging along.  I'm sure the month of September will just fly by as we settle in to the new year.  Its hard to believe that in a week we have been in this house for two years.  Time has just flown by.  I can say with every confidence that this was a great move for both of us. 

I don't have a lot of time tonight but wanted to post a qiuck update.  Will try to be more deligent about posting as I have some thoughts that I would like to get on paper soon.
